This guide covers some content and instructions on how to troubleshoot the LX Blue Node connectivity.
When you plug in a sensor to the Blue Node, it will usually autoconfigure the telemetry node and the connected device so they are activated on your account in the Incyt by LX app. In rare cases, the Blue Node may not be configured and activated after a smart sensor has been plugged in. This could happen for the following reasons:
- Poor NNNCo LoRaWAN network coverage in your area
- Issue with NNNCo registration
- Faulty Blue Node
The Device Status can be viewed from the Devices screen in the Incyt by LX app:
Active
The Blue Node is active and configured. The sensor should appear on the Incyt Dashboard and you are ready to start receiving sensor reports and data.
Inactive
The Blue Node has likely been configured but is inactive and not communicating at the moment, so you won’t receive any reports.
Pending
If the Blue Node is still showing as ‘pending’ after 10 minutes of being connected, this means it is waiting for the first data packet. It indicates that the device configuration has not been completed successfully.
Resolution steps:
- Check Antenna is firmly attached to the Blue Node.
- Inspect the installation and cables for any visible damage.
- Look for any local obstacles which may interfere with the NNNCo LoRaWAN network such as buildings or thick foliage. Increase the height of the Blue Node where possible so it is above any obstacles.
- Unplug the sensor from the Blue Node, wait 10 seconds then plug sensor back in. Repeat this step twice if required, each time waiting for 10 minutes before unplugging again. This will initiate the network registration process again.
- If you have another Blue Node available to you, try connecting it to rule out hardware failures.
- If the issue is still not resolved, please contact LX Incyt Support contact@incyt.io.
